updated app - don't do it! now I can't do anything without "trying" pro version for a month. Been scammed by that before and took forever to get out of pay version. So either they want to offer a reasonable, low price, or I'm out until employment issues are better and maybe not until I'm needing more in depth. we're still learning strings.

Thanks so much for reaching out. We made this change to ensure the platform can continue to grow, but we understand it’s a big shift. The free version now includes only Live Scoring. To access features like saving games and get insights, a Pro subscription is needed. If you haven’t tried it yet, you can explore everything free for 30 days.

LaneTalk used to be awesome. I've used both the free and paid versions in the past. I wasn't using it enough to justify the sub so I went to the free version just to watch league/tourney scores. The app was littered with ads which was annoying but understandable since it was free. But now you cant really do anything with a free sub. Our center has LaneTalk (which they pay for btw) and is upset about this, as the staff use the app for various reasons as well. They're now thinking of canceling.

Thanks for sharing, Alex. We understand your frustration. LaneTalk hasn't charged centers to integrate with the service, though some scoring system providers may. Running real-time scoring for millions of games is costly, so we had to rebalance plans. You can still follow live scoring with the free version.

Y'all are dirty for taking away scorecards in the free version. You can save the "We can understand it's a big change" spiel. Dirty, greedy, uninstalled. **You don't have to store them permanently. Couldn't we see them once, take a screenshot and then poof, it's off your server. If it can tell me the final score of the games, it can show me a scorecard. I don't use the real-time feature. I'm there, I see it. Just want the scorecards after I'm done.

Hi Ashley, we're sorry to hear you feel that way. Many LaneTalk features have been free for years, but running real-time scoring and storing of games is costly. Moving score tracking to Pro wasn't an easy decision or about greed - it's what allows us to keep the platform running and improving for everyone.

What's new

• We’ve refined the free experience to focus on live scoring and leagues, and made it easier to try Pro features with a free trial when you first join the app.
• Performance and stability improvements.
